Client Story 1: Covering dark ink with light colors

Here we have a substantial coverup piece on a female back. As you can see, the cross, especially the bird in the middle, has a very heavy outline. In a typical coverup scenario, the artist would have to create a tattoo two times as large and do some hefty black work to try and hide this piece, which doesn’t guarantee it will stay hidden. It is very common for old tattoos to begin to surface as your new coverup settles in the skin over time.

As you can see here, we were able to lighten up the tattoo significantly using our laser technology, and artist Melis Fusco of Black Sage Studio created a beautiful piece concentrating on the specific area of the existing tattoo. Another thing to note is the coverup, Pallett. Before Laser Tattoo Removal, tattoos could never be covered with colors like yellow, and now that’s a very realistic possibility.

Client Story 2: Full Removal

Baily Before Middle After

This tattoo was a complete removal piece; the client was simply tired of the tattoo and didn’t wish to cover it up, so we began the process. We always document everything so we and the client can see how things are going. During our last session (middle of the photo), I told the client to be patient and that the touch of grey ink left over would fade over time. We have the bottom photo almost one year later—100% clean, clear skin with no tattoos. Amazing right? Never underestimate the human body’s ability.

Just as your body naturally fades your tattoos over the years, it continues with Tattoo Removal. The laser helps speed this process up drastically, and once the ink is broken down enough, we can allow the body to finish the job for us.

Client Story 3: Fast results leading to an amazing new piece

We tell our clients, “Older is better,” simply because it is. The older your tattoo is, the faster it will come out, and that is a FACT. This particular tattoo was close to 20 years old, and as you can see, we have a significant reduction in only three treatments. The client was headed for a coverup, and the results were stunning, thanks to Sharon Healey of Black Sage Studio.

Again take a look at the color pallet she chose. With tattoo removal, the client wasn’t restricted by her old tattoo, and thus Sharon could get very colorful and creative.

Client Story 4: Tattoo artists want removal too!

Milo’s Original Chest Tattoo

Milo Alfiring, one of Black Sage’s tattoo artists, has been working on his transformation for a few years now, and his chest has created a roadblock we had to take down. As you can see here the two birds are very dark with a very heavy outline, so we knew we had our work cut out for us. Not to worry, though; we were confident in what we could do and got great results!

As you can see here, Milo’s chest is 90% gone, with no scaring or blistering through the process, and we couldn’t be happier. Hopefully, He will finish his chest piece this year, and we will post the reveal when he does! To keep up with Milo’s progress, follow our blog post; A bird on the chest; A tattoo coverup story.
